Hello! Happy 2016! I hope you had a lovely New Years celebration and 2016 is treating you well. I am happy to report that I’m settling in to my new home and I’m back at the craft table creating cards and embellishments again!
I have some exciting news to share with you! First, I have a You Tube Channel! Check it out!

Hello friends! I can’t believe that’s it’s already May 1st! Mother’s day is just around the corner– have you picked up something special for mom yet? If you’re local to the Chicagoland area, you’re in luck! I have several BEAUTIFUL handmade Mother’s Day cards for sale at the Blue Buddha Boutique in the Edgewater neighborhood.
Seriously, you should go check out this boutique! Not only can you learn how to create chainmail (how cool is that?) but this shop also has a collection of local handmade items for sale too. It’s really a lovely environment. I’m incredibly thrilled that they wanted to carry my cards!
If you’re not local to Chicago, you’re still in luck! I have a few cards left in my etsy shop. If you order this weekend, I can get them out to you or to your mom in time for Mother’s Day (Shipping will be a little extra for priority service and my shipping cut off date is Tuesday, May 12th)
Stop by my shop and find a card for your mom!
I love paper quilling. I actually used to do a lot of it in the 1960’s. I have these quilled owls I did waaaaaay back when I was in my late teens/early 20’s (oops, did I just date myself?) I put them in a frame and they are still hanging up. I can’t believe they are still intact after all of these years!
Fast forward over 50 years and here I am, quilling again!
I LOVE these owls:
Wouldn’t these adorable paper quilled owls be cute on cards (maybe a birthday card? New baby girl or boy card?) and scrapbook pages?
If you’re interested in these owls, you can click on the images and find them in my etsy shop!
What project would you use these embellishments for? Let me know in the comments section below! I’d love to hear how you’d use them!
It’s the middle of March– definitely NOT too early to start thinking about one of my favorite seasons– Wedding Season!!! I have two weddings to go to in May (that’s just around the corner, friends!)
There are a few wedding cards in my shop, but this one is my absolute FAVORITE. Hand down.
I love the fact that this card is elegant AND humorous at the same time! This card is for the couples who have a sense of humor. It features a bride pulling her reluctant groom along. Handmade paper roses and leaves, and beautiful pearl accents add elegance to the card. “Congratulations” is hand stamped on a lovely piece of satin ribbon adhered to the front.
Do you have the perfect couple in mind? You can find this card in my etsy shop!
